About RSP College Jharia
RSP College stands for Raja Shiv Prasad College which is accredited by NAAC "B" CGPA="2.59" now and a constituent part of Vinobha Bhave University Hazaribag located in Jharia-Dhanbad main Road near Dukhharni Mandir.
If we talk about College's history, after independence of India, there were no colleges and universities available in Jharia Dhanbad coal region to study.
Students did not have any option to study those days. They used to look for colleges. They have to go anywhere else or study at home. There was a Raja of Jharia named Raja Kali Prasad Singh of Jharia Raj Family, who has established the college with the help of their trust in 1949 after independence to help those students.
That time Raja Kali Prasad Singh has started the college named The Raja Shiva Prasad College of the name of his father in this memory.
